Already Massive and Tired

I am always on the move with work and kids. It's non-stop. So maybe that's why I do not feel the baby's movements until I sit down for 5 minutes in the evening. Even then it is quite faint.

Whilst still trying to organise everything in my head (still couldn't figure out the new sleeping arrangements in the house), I am anxiously waiting for my very first midwife appointment and next scan. I hope that the baby is growing healthily.

In the meantime, I notice that I have started to get tired more easily. I still have around 17 weeks to go. I cannot afford to be tired and gaining so much weight at this point!

I am glad to have sorted out my maternity nurse and night nanny although it is going to cost me an arm and a leg, with three little ones under the age of 5, I have no other choice. The house will be crowded! On top of all that, with family members and relatives wanting to come over around the time of birth is not making anything easier.

Bedtime concerns

I must say that I am really enjoying the pregnancy this time around - maybe because I am feeling absolutely fine and probably I will not be pregnant again. So I kind of want it to last as long as possible. However, I am already worrying about a couple things; mainly relating to when the new baby arrives:
1.  How will I manage the bedtime with one baby and one toddler?
2. Who will look after my first one when my husband and I are at the hospital having the baby? - This has been bothering me for weeks now and with no family nearby or friends available on or around the dates, it is really concerning. I might have to be all alone at the hospital while my husband looks after our first one...

Bodily Changes

I have no idea if my husband agrees with me but there is something strangely feminine about owning a pregnant body. Even though I am undoubtedly bigger and fatter, my big belly doesn’t bother me at all.

Under normal circumstances, if my belly became slightly bigger, I would feel completely not myself, down and heavy. However, the pregnancy belly and the pounds I put on as well as the other changes in my body strangely make me feel more womanly now. I no longer have a teenager’s body but a woman’s. And I am quite enjoying it.
